• Maintenance and After Care

  We ensure it is as easy as possible to look after your Great Lengths pre-bonded extensions. Here are some basic maintenance steps you can follow to maintain your hair extensions and keep them in tip-top condition.

• Washing Your Hair

  Don’t shampoo your hair for at least 48 hours after having your hair extensions applied, this allows the bonds to fully set.

  Aftercare products will be advised, these are designed to prolong the life and appearance of your hair extensions. Ensure you shampoo and condition your hair at least once a week.

• Exercise and Lifestyle

  Hair extensions suit most lifestyles, however please be mindful of the following activities, which may affect the lifespan of your bonds;

  • Regular swimming – particularly in seawater and chlorinated water
  • Regular sauna or steam room use
  • Excessive aerobatic activity

  A great tip to try after these activities it to use diluted ‘Great Lengths Anti Tap Water’ solution to restore your hair and scalp to its natural pH balance.

• Brushing

  Soft bristle brushes are the most suitable for brushing your hair.

  Take small sections of the hair and brush from the scalp over the bonds to mid-lengths, being careful to tease any tangles out from the bottom lengths first.

  Do not back comb areas where the bonds are placed. Separate the bonds on a regular basis to prevent matting.

• Sleeping

  We recommend you tie your hair in a loose ponytail to prevent tangling whilst sleeping.

• Styling and Finishing

  Styling products should only be applied to the lengths and ends of your hair and not the bond itself.

  CONTACT US for a consultation today. Consultations are priced at £30, this amount will be deducted from your bill on the day of your extensions.

  Hair Extension appointments require a deposit at the time of booking which a member of our team will notify you of. This deposit is none refundable.
